The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested four males in relation to the recent offending in Galiwinku.

The males were arrested earlier today after an aggravated burglary and assault at a motel in the community on 16 September, including a further incident that occurred at approximately 1:40am at the Bhutan Alpa Store.

Three male youths will be charged with aggravated burglary and property-related offences. One adult male has also been charged with aggravated burglary and property-related offences, as well as three counts of recruiting a child to participate in criminal activity.

All four offenders have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Darwin Local Court on Monday 21 September 2026.

Remote Sergeant Nathan Bobbette said “ Police continue to actively investigate the incidents and are pursuing a number of outstanding suspects believed to be involved.”

“These arrests were the result of a coordinated effort involving Galiwinku Police, members of Strike Force Cerberus from Katherine, and local partner agencies.”

Their cooperation has been valuable in supporting community safety initiatives and assisting efforts to address youth and property offending within Galiwinku.”
