Northern Territory Police are calling for public assistance following an incident in Gray during the early hours of this morning.

At around 5:30am, police and emergency services responded to reports of an injured woman in parkland near Heroine Court, Gray.

The woman was located with significant burns to her head and chest and was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are urging anyone who was in the area between midnight and 5am or who witnessed any suspicious activity, people or vehicles, to come forward.
