Two men will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court after allegedly stealing a laptop in Alice Springs yesterday.

Police received a report just before 4.30pm yesterday that two men had removed a laptop valued at $2599 from a display desk at Bizcom in Milner Road.

Witnesses told police they saw the pair getting into a Blue Nissan van nearby.

A police patrol noticed the vehicle at the Araluen Centre car park just before 6pm and the two men were arrested. The laptop was also recovered.

The men, aged 24 and 34, have been refused bail. They have been charged with stealing and will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.
