Call for Information – Community Unrest – Wadeye

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to community unrest in Wadeye.

Around 4am this morning, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that a 23-year-old male had been struck in the foot by an arrow.

Wadeye members attended and located the victim receiving treatment from the health clinic staff.

Two arrows believed to have been involved in the incident were located, seized and taken to forensics for processing.

The alleged offender remains unidentified and outstanding and investigations are ongoing.

The incident is believed to be linked to ongoing community unrest between family groups.
