Serious Assaults - Alice Springs

Police

Two people are in hospital with serious injuries following separate incidents in Alice Springs overnight.

Police were called around midnight to attend a disturbance at Little Sisters Town Camp.  On arrival Police found a 35 year-old man with serious head injuries alleged to have been inflicted by a machete.
 
Two men aged 23 years are currently in Police custody with investigations continuing.
 
Around the same time another incident has seen a 15 year-old male taken to hospital with significant head injuries.  Police attended an incident on Len Kittle Drive and found the young man lying in a car in the car park.  He was taken to Alice Springs Hospital.   A 30 year-old female is currently in custody for offences relating to the incident.
 
Superintendent Michael White said Police are investigating if the incidents are linked.
