Police have charged a 52-year-old man with the alleged assault of a 38-year-old man in Alice Springs over the weekend.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Dash said Police allege the offender assaulted the victim at a caravan park on Ragonesi Road at around 6:30pm on Sunday.

“The alleged offended was arrested a short time later and charged with assault a person who suffers serious harm.

“He was remanded in custody to appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.”
