Man Charged – Methamphetamine Seized – Darwin

Detectives from Task Force Nemesis have charged a 28-year-old Melbourne man following a significant seizure of the drug ‘Ice’.

Detective Acting Superintendent Clint Sims said the drugs were located yesterday morning following a search warrant at a Darwin Hotel room.

“The occupant of the room was arrested and conveyed to Darwin Watch House for questioning. Police will allege that the man transported the drugs from Melbourne to the Northern Territory.”

He was charged with possession and supply of a commercial quantity of a schedule one drug, and possession of thing to administer dangerous drug.

He will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
