Alice Springs Traffic Police have seized two vehicles within a 24-hour period.

Acting Senior Sergeant Michael Williams said, “On 1October a vehicle was stopped in a restricted area and a substantial quantity of alcohol was located.

 “As a result a 50-year-old woman is facing charges of bringing alcohol into, and possessing alcohol in a restricted area.

 “On 2 October another vehicle was stopped in another restricted area and more alcohol was located.

 “A 41-year-old man has been charged with bringing alcohol into a restricted area and driving an unlicensed, unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.” 

 Both vehicles have been seized. If convicted, the owners face forfeiture as part of the court process.

 The female offender will appear in court on 25 November and the male will appear on 5November.
