Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following a serious assault that occurred in Darwin CBD.

Senior Constable Michael Deutrom of the Metropolitan Social Order and Engagement Unit said the incident occurred at approximately 2:00pm on Tuesday 17 November 2015 at a bus stop on Cavenagh Street.

“A 61-year-old male victim was seriously assaulted by an adult male suspect, who is now in custody.

“Police are seeking any witnesses that may be able to provide further information. 

“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any other information, is urged to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
