Drugs, Firearms seized on Tiwi Islands

Drug and Organised Crime Detectives have conducted a series of raids in the Tiwi islands as part of an ongoing operation targeting the supply of cannabis to remote communities.

'Permit to Burn' Season off to scorching start

Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) launched the ‘Permit to Burn’ season in Coolalinga this afternoon with a massive blaze. Gamba grass provided the fuel as volunteer units from Howard Springs joined NTFRS personnel from Humpty Doo to raise awareness that the burn off permit season commences today.
