Northern Territory Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Wanguri yesterday.

An autopsy has been completed and next of kin notified.

Detectives have now confirmed that the  head injury the woman suffered was a pre-existing injury that she was receiving treatment for in the days prior to her death.

A number of witnesses have been spoken to and investigations remain ongoing.  Her exact cause of death is still unknown.
