Northern Territory Detectives from the Southern Serious Crime Squad have charged a 41-year-old male in relation to an assault on 16 June.

Police allege the male assaulted a man and a woman – both aged 60 – with a weapon.

The woman sustained a broken arm, while the man suffered minor injuries.

The 41-year-old male was charged with:

• Assault a person who suffered harm
• Assault a person
• Damage to property
• Armed with an offensive weapon at night

He is due to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
