Unlawful Entries – Charges – Alice Springs

Alice Springs Police have charged three youths with property offences.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said Police allege the offenders unlawfully entered a residence in Braitling on 12 September.

“A number of items were stolen including a laptop, games and cigarettes.

“Police also allege the males were involved in an incident where four vehicles were damaged in an Alice Springs car park on 13 September.”

Two males aged 16 and 19 were arrested and jointly charged yesterday with:

  • Aggravated unlawful entry of a dwelling (x2)
  • Damage to property (x5)
  • Stealing (x3)
  • Trespass (x4)

They will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.

Also as part of ongoing investigations, Police have apprehended a third youth involved in the same crime series.

“Investigations into the crimes were ongoing and Police today arrested a third offender who allegedly set fire to two vehicles in Alice Springs on 13 September.”

Police charged an 18-year-old male today with:

  • Aggravated unlawful entry (x6)
  • Damage to property (x9)
  • Stealing (x9)
  • Arson (x2)

He will appear in court on Monday.
