Police have charged a 19-year-old man in relation to a number of rock throwing incidents in Alice Springs.
Superintendent Virginia Read said Police allege the man threw rocks at four vehicles driving along Schwarz Crescent on Friday.
“All four vehicles received damage causing hundreds of dollars damage, fortunately no one was injured.
“Police arrested the 19-year-old a short time later and charged him with endangering occupants of a vehicle and damage to property."
He will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.
“Police take all reports of rock throwing seriously. This incident was extremely dangerous and could have had tragic consequences,” Superintendent Read said.
“Police would like to thank the members of the public who helped identify the alleged offender and assisted Police in this matter.”
