Youths arrested for unlawful entries - Alice Springs

Detectives from the Southern Investigation Section arrested four male youths, aged 14-15 years, for a number of unlawful entries that have occurred recently in Alice Springs.

Superintendent Jo Foley of the Southern Investigation Division said the youths were at a residence in Lackman Terrace where a search warrant was executed yesterday afternoon. 

“During the search Police also located stolen items believed to have been from a number of recent unlawful entries in Northside area,” Superintendent Foley said.

“Police also located a small bag containing approximately 1gm of cannabis.

“All four youths were arrested and conveyed to the Alice Springs Watch House. The two 15-year-olds were both charged with property offences included aggravated enter dwelling with intent to commit an offence and receiving stolen property (x3). The youths have been bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Court of Summary Jurisdiction tomorrow 1 June 2012.

“People who commit property crime must be held accountable for their actions. Members of the public can assist Police to build intelligence on suspects and persons of interest by giving us information.  Police urge anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour, no matter how unimportant it might seem, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
