Vehicles rocked – Stuart Highway, Stuart Park

Police

Police are calling on witnesses after a number of cars were ‘rocked’ overnight in Stuart Park.

Senior Sergeant Craig Ryan said it is believed that offender/s threw a number of rocks over the back fence of Bridge Toyota, damaging approximately 12 vehicles in the process.

“Between midnight and 7:00 am, 12 new and used vehicles were affected, causing around $25,000 worth of damage. It would have taken the offenders some time to have damaged so many vehicles,” said Senior Sergeant Ryan.

“I urge anyone that may have been in the area, or who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour at all in Stuart Park overnight, to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.  Criminal Damage in general, costs the whole community very large sums of money every year, either directly in making repairs, or through increased insurance premiums.  Either way, the costs of criminal damage are passed-on to consumers as a whole.”
