Tennant Creek Police are calling for witnesses to come forward who may have information in relation to an alleged sexual assault.

A 50-year-old woman was walking her dog between Udall Road and Standley Street last night.

“She was approached by an Aboriginal male in his late teens to early 20s and dragged into a nearby dirt track and sexually assaulted.” Said Detective 1st Class Constable Damien Barbe.

“It’s possible the offender also had facial hair.”
