The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an aggravated burglary that occurred in Tennant Creek overnight.
At around 11:10pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre (JESCC) received reports that a group of offenders had unlawfully entered a residence on Boag Street and assaulted two occupants.
Police attended and located two 31-year-old female victims, both with injuries to their heads and backs. It is alleged a group of up to 20 people had forced their way into the residence and physically assaulted both victims before stealing their mobile phones and two puppies and fleeing the scene.
The victims were conveyed to hospital by St John Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
Initial investigations indicate the offenders are known to the victims.
A crime scene was declared, and investigations are ongoing.
