NZ Thanks DVI Team - Darwin

Police

Two members of the Northern Territory Police Force will today be formally recognised for their efforts during the aftermath of New Zealand’s Christchurch earthquake.

The New Zealand High Commissioner to Australia, Major General (Rtd) Martyn Dunne, will personally thank the members from the Disaster Victims Identification team for their efforts and commitment.

“The DVI Officers were part of a broader contingent of NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services personnel who responded to the disaster.” Said Commissioner John McRoberts.

“The NT personnel joined representatives from other States and Territories to form a 72-strong Australia-wide taskforce that went to New Zealand’s aid during the crisis.”
