Territory Response Group and Northern Territory Emergency Services members have joined local Police and Port Keats Rangers in the search for a missing man.
Authorities were this morning alerted that 22-year-old Daniel Ariuu hasn’t been seen since Friday night, the 2nd of March.
“Initial information suggests he was travelling with a group of people when their vehicle broke down near Third Creek, about five kilometres east of Palumpa Community.” Said TRG Senior Constable Gareth Lacey.
“While the vehicle got towed back to Palumpa Mr Ariuu decided to walk; and has so far failed to arrive.”
“A helicopter is being used to scour the area, while land searches are also carried out.” Said Sen Con Lacey.
Palumpa is located 40 kilometres east of Wadeye.
If anyone has information on the whereabouts of Mr Ariuu, they’re asked to contact the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
