A 43 year-old Jabiru man will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today charged with Possessing Child Abuse Material.

Detective Sergeant Neil Hayes said that dedicated members from the Child Abuse Taskforce (CAT) arrested and charged the man with one count of Possession of Child Abuse Material after images were found on his computer.

“The professional and specialist skills of the CAT have resulted in the arrest of this alleged offender.”

“The safety of children is paramount and NT Police have zero tolerance for these types of criminal offences.” said Detective Sergeant Hayes.
