A male has died in a single vehicle rollover near the Arnhem Highway.

Watch Commander Louise Jorgensen said that Police were alerted at ten-past eleven this morning that a car had rolled several times near the corner of Anzac Parade and the Arnhem Highway, Middle Point.

“Police and Saint John Ambulance units attended the scene and confirmed a male person had died as a result of the crash.  The man was the only person in the vehicle at the time.”

Police have closed Anzac Parade until further notice and ask people to be aware of emergency vehicles in the area.

The death brings the Northern Territory road toll to five compared to none at the same time last year.
