Alice Springs Police have arrested a 42-year-old man in relation to two unlawful entries in the town.

Last Tuesday night both the Town and Country Tavern and the Gillen Club were broken into.

On both occasions, a quantity of alcohol was stolen.

“Fortunately both premises were fitted with surveillance.” Said Senior Sergeant Dave Richardson.

“The CCTV allowed Police to clearly identify an offender, which has now led to an arrest.”

“The 42-year-old is currently in custody and is helping Police with further inquiries in an effort to identify co-offenders.” Said Snr Sgt Richardson.
