Police are investigating the death of a 15-year-old boy following a disturbance at an Alice Springs town camp overnight.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant David Richardson said police received a report just before 1am that a teenager had been stabbed in the leg at Hidden Valley Camp.

He was taken by ambulance to Alice Springs Hospital where he subsequently died.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested in relation to the incident.

No further details are available at this stage as police continue their investigations.
