NT Fire and Rescue Investigators are continuing to try to determine the exact cause of the vehicle blaze that occurred on the Stuart Highway near Noonamah last night.

The incident was reported to Police at around 7:10 pm. Upon arrival members located a prime mover 20 km’s south of Noonamah fully alight.

An exclusion zone was established and traffic along the Stuart Highway was disrupted for around two hours.

Investigations are continuing however early indications are that the fire was due to mechanical issues.
