Further arrests for unlawful entries –Alice Springs

Two teenagers were arrested yesterday after they were identified as allegedly being involved in an unlawful entry in Burke Street, Alice Springs.

Police received a call just before 1pm yesterday from a concerned member of the public who noticed suspicious activity at a residence. When police arrived they saw a group of youths running from the area with a large amount of electrical items. The youths dropped most of the property when they saw police and two of the alleged offenders aged 17 and 15 were arrested a short time later.

Police investigations also led to the discovery of a large quantity of electrical goods and cash located in the 17-year-old's Mitsubishi Lancer sedan. Police allege the property was stolen during an unlawful entry at a residence in Murray Street on May 31.

A 17-year-old male has been charged with numerous offences including aggravated unlawful entry. He has been bailed to appear in the Youth justice Court on July 22. The 15-year-old male will be considered for Youth Diversion. Police investigations are continuing.
