Police are investigating the death of a 34-year-old man at his home in Larapinta overnight.

Police said the man's wife became concerned when she woke at around 1.30am to find he had failed to return home after attending a meeting. She went outside and found him pinned under his car in the driveway of his home.

Police said it appeared he had parked the Toyota Landcruiser in the driveway and gone to shut the gates when the vehicle appears to have rolled backwards trapping him under one of the wheels.

Police believe there are no suspicious circumstances, however they are calling for anyone who may have been driving in the area of Bokhara Street between 10pm and 1.30am last night to come forward. Anyone with information should phone police on 131 444 or crime stopper on 1800 333 000.
