Crash - Witnesses sought - Casuarina

Police

Police are calling on assistance from the public in relation to a crash that occurred in Casuarina last night.

It is alleged that at around 8:40 pm, a bus carrying 12 passengers along Trower Road had slowed at the Casuarina Senior College bus stop.

Senior Sergeant Greg Pusterla said a white Kenworth Prime Mover was travelling behind the bus; however it failed to stop in time and subsequently crashed into the back of the vehicle.

“The back windscreen was smashed as the bus was shunted forward approximately five metres into the gutter,” said Senior Sergeant Pusterla.

“Three passengers were treated at the scene by St John Ambulance members and released.

“The Prime Mover fled the scene without offering assistance and Police urge anyone that may have witnessed the crash, or who has seen a vehicle matching this description with front end damage, to contact Police on 131 444.”
