Drug and Organised Crime members made a significant discovery yesterday while serving outstanding warrants on a 34 year old man in Howard Springs.
During the course of his arrest police allegedly discovered a gram of amphetamine in the mans’ underpants.
A further search of the property found several firearms and a large amount of ammunition.
Paraphernalia used in the manufacture of amphetamine was also seized.
The 34 year old was subsequently charged with numerous offences including two counts of possessing a schedule two dangerous drug and possessing a prohibited firearm.
A 64 year old man and a 20 year old female also at the residence were summonsed on firearms and drug charges respectively.
Items seized include:
- A semi automatic shotgun
- Two .22 rifles
- Ammunition of various calibres
- Amphetamine
- Testosterone
- Medical products
- Glassware and digital scales
- Assorted items commonly used in the manufacturing of amphetamine
- $1,300 in cash
Police enquiries are continuing.
