Police in Tennant Creek are asking members of the public to be on the lookout for a number of valuable items which were stolen from a hotel room in the town at the weekend.

Police received a report on Monday that a room at the Eldorado Motor Inn had been unlawfully entered. The 28-year-old male victim told police thieves had broken in and ransacked the room some time between 8pm on Sunday and 1am on Monday.

They then stole a number of items including an Apple Mac Pro laptop worth approximately $4000, an Apple I Pad worth $1000, a silver Seiko watch with a black face worth $2500 and two HP200 calculators.

Police are appealing to anyone who is offered these items for sale or who has information about the thefts to come forward. Anyone with information should phone Tennant creek police on 89620944 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
