Arrest - Armed robbery - Berrimah

Members from Palmerston Investigations Unit arrested a 25-year-old woman yesterday, in relation to an armed robbery in Berrimah on the weekend.

The woman was arrested in Tiwi at about 1.30pm

It is alleged the woman attended the Subway Restaurant in Berrimah on Sunday morning before threatening staff with a knife and fleeing with a quantity of money.

The woman is currently under police guard at Royal Darwin Hospital receiving treatment for unrelated matters. She is expected to be interviewed in the next day or so.

Detective Acting Superintendent Rob Jordan said that detectives are still hunting another person who may have been involved.

"Police are asking for anybody who may have been in the area at the time of the robbery to contact police as they may have valuable information that could assist the investigation" he said.
