The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating a suspicious death in the community of Alpurrurulam.

Around 5:30am this morning, police received a report from the local clinic that a woman had died after allegedly being physically assaulted.

Local police, with assistance from Avon Downs police, are currently responding to the incident with detectives from the Crime Command and Forensics travelling to the community.
