The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested and charged a 45-year-old male with multiple drug offences in Alice Springs.
Around 7:30am on 18 September, investigators from the Southern Drug Investigation Unit, with the assistance of members from Territory Road Policing, the Dog Operations Unit and Strike Force Viper, intercepted a vehicle being driven by a 45-year-old male in Alice Springs.
A search of the vehicle subsequently located 170grams of methamphetamine which was seized by police.
The 45-year-old was arrested and later charged with the following offences:
- Possess schedule 1 dangerous drug – commercial quantity
- Supply schedule 1 dangerous drug – commercial quantity
- Possess schedule 2 dangerous drug – less trafficable quantity
- Possession of articles for use in manufacture dangerous drug
- Drive with prohibited drug in body
He has been remanded to appear in court on 5 November 2026.
