Vehicle Crash – Pine Creek

Police

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to a crash that occurred near Pine Creek earlier this afternoon.

Around 12:15pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received an automated alert activation from a vehicle which had been involved in a roll-over approximately 30 kilometres north of Pine Creek.

As a result of the crash, two occupants, a male and a female, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Pine Creek clinic for assessment by an off-duty paramedic who came across the crash.

Police believe the vehicle lost control while taking evasive action to avoid another vehicle which was reportedly driving on the incorrect side of the road.

Police from Territory Road Policing are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

Police would particularly like to speak with the driver of a white Toyota Landcruiser utility displaying P-plates and carrying tyres in the rear, which was allegedly travelling on the incorrect side of the road at the time.

Anyone with information, including any relevant dash cam footage, is urged to contact police on 131 444 and quote reference number NTP2600088786.
