On Friday 28 August 2026, a member of the Northern Territory Police Force (NTPF) was served a Notice to Appear in relation to an offence allegedly committed on 22 August 2026, in Darwin whilst off duty.

The 33-year-old police officer is scheduled to appear in the Darwin Local Court on 6 October 2026, on the charge of:

• Assault

The matter remains under investigation.
