The Northern Territory Police Force is seeking witnesses to an aggravated assault that occurred on Cavenagh Street in Darwin City last night.

About 10:30pm, a 31-year-old female was assaulted with two blunt weapons by a group of persons known to her in the vicinity of a Woolworths supermarket on Cavenagh Street.

The female suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is receiving treatment at Royal Darwin Hospital.

Two females aged 30 and 32 and a 24-year-old male have been arrested, with the Serious Crime Squad taking carriage of the investigation. The offenders remain in custody while investigations are ongoing.
