The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested and charged three male youths in relation to a disturbance that occurred in Alice Springs yesterday evening.
Around 6pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of a group of youths engaged in fighting on Gap Road.
Police members from the Community Safety Engagement Team and General Duties attended, and the group dispersed. Police conducted wanding operations and three of the youths aged 14, 16, and 17-years-old, were identified to be carrying concealed edged weapons and were arrested.
No injuries were reported to police.
The 14-year-old was charged with Armed with Offensive Weapon, and the 16 and 17-year-olds were charged with Possess, Carry, Use Controlled Weapon. They will appear in court at a later date.
