Call for Information - Aggravated Robbery - Rapid Creek

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information regarding an aggravated robbery that occurred in Rapid Creek on Thursday night.

Around 10:25pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of a group of offenders attempting to gain entry to a residence on Rossiter Street.

An adult female told police she had returned home from work when she was allegedly approached by the group, one of whom was allegedly armed with an edged weapon.

The offender armed with an edged weapon allegedly threatened the victim while demanding for her keys, causing her to flee and seek refuge inside her residence.

The group then allegedly banged on the windows and doors to the residence, before smashing a window, in an attempt to force entry.

They fled the scene before police arrived. 

Strike Force Trident Detectives are investigating the incident and urge anyone with information, CCTV or Dash Cam to come forward and call police on 131 444 or make an anonymous report via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
