Northern Territory Police have arrested 32-year-old who allegedly assaulted his 31-year-old partner and his 5-year-old son in Alice Springs yesterday.

The man was arrested at a town camp near Alice Springs just after 10.30am this morning.

The man is expected to be charged later today.
