The NT Police Force has arrested a 22-year-old male in relation to a structure fire that occurred in Woodroffe early this morning.

Around 2am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of an alleged disturbance at a residence on Woodroffe Avenue, followed by further reports that flames and smoke were emitting from the residence.

Police, St John Ambulance and NT Fire and Rescue Service attended, and the fire was extinguished.

Initial investigations indicate the fire is suspicious.

The residence sustained damage to multiple rooms.

A 22-year-old male who resides at the residence has since been arrested and is assisting police with enquiries.
