Police are calling for information in relation to a suspicious vehicle fire that occurred in Alice Springs overnight.

Around 9pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of a vehicle engulfed in flames along Gap Road.

Police and Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service members attended, and the fire was extinguished.

Initial investigations indicate the fire was deliberately lit. Investigations are ongoing.
