The Northern Territory Police Force are seeking information following an aggravated burglary that occurred in the vicinity of the industrial area in Katherine East over the weekend.

At around 8am on Saturday 11 October 2025, Northern Territory Police Force received a report that two buildings, including an armoury at a government facility, were unlawfully entered by four unknown offenders.

Inside the armoury, the offenders allegedly stole a quantity of ammunition. A Northern Territory Emergency Services building was also unlawfully entered, with multiple items stolen and extensive damage caused to vehicles and equipment, severely impacting volunteers’ ability to respond to emergencies.

A crime scene was established, high quality CCTV has been obtained, and investigations are ongoing.
