Call for information – Aggravated Burglary – Alice Springs

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an aggravated burglary that occurred in Alice Springs overnight.

Around 12:15am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that a man, aged in his 50’s, was assaulted by up to 5 unknown offenders in the front yard of a residence on Gnoilya Street, The Gap.

The offenders physically assaulted the victim, entered his unit, stole his wallet, phone and car keys before fleeing the scene on foot in the direction of the Alice Springs CBD.

General duties and Strike Force Viper deployed into the area, however, the offenders are yet to be located.

The victim received non-life-threatening injuries and will be attending hospital today for treatment.
