Call for information – Disturbance – Tennant Creek

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to a large disturbance that occurred in Tennant Creek yesterday afternoon.

Around 4:10pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received multiple reports of fighting between groups of people believed to be known to each other at a house in Mulga Camp.

It is alleged that some members of the groups were armed with various edged weapons and were actively engaged in fighting.

Police attended and the group dispersed. An adult male was conveyed to hospital with injuries to his leg, allegedly sustained after falling over.

No arrests have been made at this stage and community engagement is ongoing to determine the cause of the fighting.
