The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Tennant Creek overnight.
Around 11pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre (JESCC) received a report that a 67-year-old man had been assaulted at his residence on Ambrose Street.
It is alleged the victim sighted up to six female youths in his front yard who he approached and asked to leave. Two of the youths were armed with a pole and a stick and chased the victim, striking him repeatedly. During the assault, the victim dropped keys which one of the offenders stole before they all fled the scene on foot.
The victim suffered minor injuries to his hands and was conveyed to hospital for assessment.
The offenders remain outstanding, and investigations are ongoing.
