Call for information - Aggravated burglary - Katherine

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an aggravated burglary in Katherine this morning.

About 3:30am, police received reports of a group of up to four unknown offenders that unlawfully entered a residence on Cox Crescent by smashing a window. The elderly resident woke up to the noise and using a shovel prevented entry through the window; however, the offenders allegedly pulled the female victim toward the smashed glass window and she sustained minor injuries.

The offenders fled the scene before police arrival.  Strike Force Cerberus have carriage of the investigation.

The female was transported to Katherine Regional Hospital for medical assessment.

Police believe an unlawful entry at a separate residence nearby may be linked to the same alleged offenders.
