The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for public assistance to locate a 37-year-old man who absconded from NT Corrections custody in Alice Springs today.

Around 2:50pm, police were notified that he had absconded from his work placement at Blatherskite Park in Ilparpa.

Alice Springs police are actively looking for him and he is urged to return himself into custody as soon as possible.
