The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating after a fatal crash occurred in Berry Springs this morning.

Around 5:30am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of an overturned Toyota Hilux on Cox Peninsula Road, approximately 35km south of the Stuart Highway.

Emergency services attended and located a 25-year-old male passenger deceased inside the vehicle.

A 19-year-old male was also at the scene and was transported to Royal Darwin Hospital with a head injury.

A crime scene has been established, and the Major Crash Investigation Unit is investigating. Diversions are in place and police advise road users to avoid the area.
