The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 45-year-old female in relation to a pedestrian strike that occurred overnight in Alice Springs.
Around 6:30pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that female in a white Ford Laser hatchback allegedly struck her 53-year-old male partner on Mahomed Street.
The vehicle came to a stop approximately 50 metres from the point of impact.
The victim was treated at the scene by St John Ambulance before being transported to Alice Springs Hospital for further assessment.
The 45-year-old female driver was arrested at the scene and later returned a positive result for alcohol.
She remains in police custody with charges expected to follow.
A crime scene was established, and investigations are ongoing.
