Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an Aggravated assault occurred in Coconut Grove yesterday.

Around 5pm, police received a report of a male allegedly assaulting a female near the Progress Drive and Trower Rd intersection before leaving the area on pushbike. An off-duty police officer stopped to render assistance to the injured female and move her the road to avoid a traffic incident. The incident was partially captured by CCTV and enquiries are being made to identify all persons involved.

Acting Commander Shaun Gill said, “The actions of this man were completely unacceptable.

“Violence of any kind has no place in our community, and we take a no tolerance approach to these offences.

“We are urging anyone in the area with CCTV or dash cam footage to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference number NTP2400133598.”
